Board on Agriculture and Natural Resources [from the National Academics of Science, Engineering, and Medicine] visits Salinas

On Monday, October 15, Dennis Donohue spoke to the Board on Agriculture and Natural Resources, from the National Academics of Science, Engineering, and Medicine. The Western Growers CIT helped the group with logistics, and participated in their Monday session in Salinas. Donohue explained the role of the WGCIT in the specialty crop ecosystem, and Western Growers’ commitment to innovation. Other featured speakers included Josh Ruiz, from Church Brothers, and Abby Taylor-Silva, of the Grower-Shipper Association. Donohue, Ruiz, and Taylor-Silva all touched on water and labor woes.
