On April 18, Louis Holloway, regional manager at Bayer CropSciences, visited the WG Center for Innovation & Technology to speak with thirteen of the resident startups about innovating to meet consumer needs.

Bayer Crop Science’s mission statement is “Science for a Better Life,” and they have incorporated this mission into the three segments of their multinational company:

1.       Pharmaceuticals

2.       Consumer Health

3.       Crop Science

On April 3, 2017, the Silicon Valley Forum kicked off its second annual AgTech Week “The Seeds of Our Future: AgTech and the Connected World.” This year, the three-day event incorporated a stop at the Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology in Salinas. Dennis Donohue welcomed the Silicon Valley Forum attendees to the WG Innovation Center, discussed the mission of the Center, and introduced the agtech startups that were on-hand.
