Wexus Technologies from San Francisco, has joined the Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology as its sixteenth resident. Chris Terrell founded Wexus with the idea that his business and technology would directly address environmental impact. “With Wexus, growers have better tools and actionable insights to optimize and manage their utility bills, energy costs, overall energy usage, peak usage and surcharges, and utility rates,” said Terrell in a WGCIT Guest Blog.

On June 7, 2016, the Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology hosted its monthly Tech Talk Webinar and introduced Conservis to Western Growers members. Conservis provides an enterprise level view of entire farming operations.
During the Tech Talk, Conservis discussed how they can partner with growers to change how they are currently doing business, as well as teach farmers about emerging technologies to better manage their operations. The Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology [WGCIT] has only been open a few months now (opened December 2015), but is already shaping the “AgTech” arena. The WGCIT currently houses 16 startups who represent a wide variety of business sectors.
