Posted on July 29, 2016 11:43 AM by WGCIT

On July 26, 2016, the Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology hosted its monthly Tech Talk Webinar and introduced iFood Decision Sciences to Western Growers members. iFood Decisions Sciences, Inc. [iFood] uses SaaS (software-as-a-service) applications, and data analytics, to improve the produce industry’s operational performance. iFood protects its clients’ confidential information through a ‘trusted supplier data stewardship program.’ The iFood applications provides custom ways for each customer to streamline and manage their individual business.

iFood’s team has extensive specialty crop production experience. Matt Salley, Vice President of Sales for iFood, presented the company, their technology, and their newly launched Android/Apple App, during the one hour Tech Talk. Salley leads the sales team, and oversees the process of “engaging new customers to ensure solutions are aligned with their unique needs. Drawing upon his SaaS experience and consulting background within technology, Salley brings to the team a long and successful history of helping customers adopt emerging technologies.”

Using iFood applications, companies are able to access performance data, food safety documents, training details, field clearance materials, etc. from their desk, field, or phone.  When correlated with industry norms and predictive models, iFood can greatly improve supply-line management of any growing operation.
