On August 17, nearly 20 startups attended a virtual presentation with Adam Bergman, the managing director of EcoTech Capital, to learn about the current capital raising environment for agtech and foodtech companies.

Adam, who is a sustainability executive leader with over 20 years’ investment banking experience, built an industry leading agtech and foodtech investment banking practice, creating a broad ecosystem to help drive adoption of technology and innovation throughout the broad food and agriculture value chain. During the virtual presentation, he shared what he views are the current trends for the ag and food technology ecosystem.

Latest Grower Trial Network Session Attracts 20 Farmers

On August 4, 2020, Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology (WGCIT) connected agtech companies SWIIM Systems and KipTraq with nearly 20 farmers across California to provide invaluable feedback on their technologies.

The event was part of WGCIT’s Grower Trial Network – an initiative created to connect growers with agtech startups in an effort to accelerate trial and adoption of agricultural technologies. During this Grower Trail Network session, SWIIM Systems and KipTraq had an opportunity to present their companies as well as translate feedback from growers to refine their technologies.
