Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology is launching ‘Voices of the Valley,’ a new radio show on KRKC News where WGCIT Lead Dennis Donohue will be interviewing leaders in agtech and innovation. The first three-minute episode will air on Monday, April 9, 2018, at 7:50 a.m. on 1490 AM/104.9 FM KRKC Country.

The Center works with WG member growers, entrepreneurs, educators and technologists to provide new solutions for today and tomorrow’s challenges—all of whom will be interviewed on the show. Each episode will explore what’s challenging and new in agricultural innovation.

On Monday, March 19, Donohue recorded the first set of interviews with the show’s producer, Silka Saavedra. The first batch of interviews were conducted via phone and “live” at the WGCIT in Salinas.

Donohue interviewed numerous start-up companies working out of the WGCIT, including:

  • Aidan Mouat, Hazel Technologies
  • Martha Montoya, AgTools
  • Bruce Rasa, AgVoice
  • Kevin France, SWIIM System
  • Dr. Jim Stottlemyre, UNIBEST International
  • Elliot Jaramillo, Concept Clean Energy
  • Colin Brown, TracMap
  • Roi Adar, RootsTalk
  • Limor Gruber & Nate Peretz, Seedwiz
  • Rob McBride, Boost Biomes
  • Nora LaTorre, Ganaz App

The show is sponsored by Hartnell Community College. Episodes of Voices of the Valley will air Monday - Friday at 7:50 a.m. To be a guest on the show or become a sponsor, contact Dennis Donohue at ddagtech@outlook.com.
