Western Growers Leaders, Center Showcased during THRIVE AgTech Forum

The THRIVE AgTech Innovation Forum took place February 1, 2017, in Menlo Park, CA. SVG Partners said the goal of the event was “to advance pioneering agtech innovation and forge new partnerships across technology and agriculture.” The event featured agtech panel discussions, agtech startup lightening pitches and leadership networking opportunities.

The all-day forum hosted entrepreneurs, investors, farmers, scientists, and industry corporations. In fact, numerous Western Growers members and leaders were tapped to share expert insight on the future of agtech and agriculture as featured speakers during the event including:

·         Bruce Taylor, CEO of Taylor Farms

·         Kevin Murphy, CEO of Driscoll’s Berries

·         Hank Giclas, Senior Vice President Science & Technology, Strategic Planning, Science & Technology for Western Growers

Dennis Donohue also participated in the forum on behalf of the Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology.

Additionally, 11 of the 50 most innovative companies participating in THRIVE presented their solutions to change the way we grow food in the future:
